Custom AI tools

Crost builds software around how a team already works. The work is tools, automation, and the integrations those tools need. It is not a generic chatbot bolted on.

What gets built

  • Internal tools and dashboards for the work staff already do.
  • Workflow automation where a repeated step can be taken off someone's plate.
  • Integrations with the systems the business already runs.

Where it fits

The best candidates are jobs a person repeats in a system the company already has: sorting and routing incoming requests, drafting replies for a person to approve, reconciling two spreadsheets, pulling the same report together every week, or checking records against a list of rules. A model is picked for one of those jobs. It is part of the tool, not the product.

How an engagement runs

  1. Map the work. We follow the task from trigger to finish: who starts it, which systems it touches, where it slows down, and what a good result looks like.
  2. Scope in writing. One job at a time, with the systems involved, how data is handled, which models are used, and where the tool runs.
  3. Build against the real system. The tool connects to what you already use, so staff do not have to move to a new one.
  4. Roll out with your team. We stay through the rollout, adjust from what staff actually run into, and hand over how it works.

Data and ownership

Data handling, model choice, hosting, and who holds the code are decided in the scope and written down before the build starts,, so nothing is left to assumption.

Selling age-restricted products online?

Crost also runs Crost Commerce, a custom ecommerce platform specializing in high-risk and age-restricted stores, and moves stores off Shopify with the migration service.
