How we work
An engagement starts with a conversation, not a checkout. Crost replies within one business day, learns how your team and your systems run today, and sets scope, calendar, and price in writing after the first call.
1. Learn the operation first
Software only works if the people using it every day can keep their rhythm. Before anything is built, we map who does what: the orders that get reviewed by hand, the exports someone rebuilds every Monday, the checks that happen before a package ships. The build is shaped around that map, not around a template.
Custom tools
We build internal tools, workflow automation, and integrations for the systems a business already runs. Models and hosting are chosen per project and written into the scope. Details are on the custom tools page.
Crost Commerce
Crost Commerce is a custom ecommerce platform for all kinds of e-commerce, specializing in high-risk and age-restricted stores such as vape, alcohol, tobacco, and firearms, built on the open-source Medusa framework. Each store gets its own private deployment, dedicated to that store and operated by Crost, rather than a seat on a shared multi-tenant platform. Checkout rules, back-office workflows, and third-party integrations are built to your spec.
Store migration
- Build in parallel. The current store stays live and keeps trading.
- Test on staging with real products, workflows, payments, and email.
- Re-sync orders and inventory at launch.
- Point DNS at the new store once it is proven. Old URLs are kept or redirected one-to-one.
- Leave the old platform as a fallback until you are sure.
The migration audit is the scoping step for a store move: we look at your current store before the first call, so the calendar and scope are set before any build starts. Read how URL mapping works or see a completed move.
